There are two organizations that accept donations for La Casita:
InnovativeCommunities.org Foundation
InnovativeCommunities.org Foundation (ICO) handles the management of La Casita’s funds including the annual budget, provides charitable tax receipts, and financial due diligence.
La Casita is fortunate to have been associated with ICO since 2009. It is an umbrella organization providing financial management for a variety of initiatives. Fundraising is done by each initiative independently and 100% of all donations through ICO go to the initiative. ICO is a registered charitable organization and provides tax receipts for donations over $20.
The La Casita Initiative is called San Antonio Education and Community and can be found at:
The information at the right of that page gives directions regarding how to make a donation on-line. You can also write a cheque to InnovativeCommunities.Org Foundation (write San Antonio Education/Community on the memo line) and send it to: ICO Foundation 300-722 Cormorant St., Victoria, BC V8W 1P8
Victoria Foundation – Casita San Antonio Fund
The Victoria Foundation manages the Casita San Antonio Fund in support of education and leadership development at La Casita. Donations to the fund, which are receipted for income tax purposes, are invested. To ensure long-term predictable funding, a portion of the market value of the fund will be disbursed each year to ICO for operational support of La Casita. Established in 2025, the intention is for this fund to support La Casita for 15 years.
Donations can be made in a variety of ways through the Victoria Foundation, including online donations, payment by cheque, and donation of publicly listed securities. Donations of $20 or more are eligible for a Canadian charitable tax receipt.
